The symbol of Burano is its handmade lace, an art passed down from generation to generation and still visible today in local workshops and in the Lace Museum. Also well worth a visit is the Church of San Martino, with its distinctive leaning bell tower, built on piles and now one of the most photographed views on the island.
Easily reached by vaporetto from Jesolo, Burano is the perfect stop for a half-day excursion, to be enjoyed among art, history, and unforgettable colours.
